Where seals are commonly used
- Bottom edge of the door
- Side jambs
- Top of the opening
- Between some door sections, depending on door design
When replacement is useful
Replace a seal when it is cracked, flattened, torn, pulling away from its retainer, or no longer making reasonable contact with the floor or jamb.
A seal cannot fix door alignment
If the gap is caused by a crooked door, track problem, damaged section, or floor condition, replacing the seal alone may not solve it.
