What to check
- Worn or binding rollers
- Loose hardware
- Track alignment issues
- Door balance problems
- Opener or drive-system vibration
What the symptoms can mean
Watch the door from a safe distance and note whether the shaking comes from the door itself or the opener rail and motor. Stop if movement becomes crooked or unstable.
When to stop troubleshooting
Stop operating the door if it is visibly crooked, off track, unusually heavy, has a broken spring or loose cable, or makes severe mechanical noise. Do not loosen spring or cable hardware.
